The Birthday Party Part III
My mother's 80th birthday had two types of favors.
- the minty melt in your mouth comes in a little May basket look-a-like type of favor and
the beautiful 20 something picture of my mother on a cupcake pick topper stuck into gooey vanilla strawberry cake with extra rich butter cream frosting type of favor, (gotta love my mom's furry collar).
Cut out two pieces of cardstock with a medium to large scalloped paper punch.
Scan an old picture. I used photo gallery to make copies, and chose the contact sheet (32 on a page). It was the perfect size.Cut these out.
Glue large tooth pick between the two paper punches, and glue the two papers together, (I lined up the scallops).
Glue picture on top.
Cut the cake, or use cupcakes and then stick in the topper!

A Bit of Heaven
The windows of my church studio, A Bit of Heaven, are beautifully framed by hollyhocks in colors of pink. I have not spent any time in their this summer, but soon, I hope.
The cottage garden is home to a purple bench,
multicolored pots filled with moss roses, a weathered angel, and a vintage spade.
A sweet rusted red tricycle also has a spot in my cottage garden.

The Rug....again?
I can't say that I blame the rug. This room is a bit of pink heaven, and there are items in this room with the same phenotype as the rug. You know, the black and white damask pattern.
- candle
- jewelry box
- storage boxes

Sweet Tweet Swap
Spring has arrived in my neck of the prairie, and the birds are busy building their nests. In honor of the arrival of my feathered friends, I am happily hosting a swap! Here are the guidelines:
1. Include at least one handmade item with a bird theme. Items can be made in any craft, or art style and can be purchased, or made by you.
2. Include at least one "sweet" item, (your interpretation).
3. Items should follow a bird, nest, egg, or Spring theme.
4. Swap box should have a $20.00 value, (before shipping).
5. After the long winter many of us have had, please don't be a swap deadbeat! If you sign up, you are obligated to follow through in a timely manner. We don't want any sad faces in the midst of our swap.
6. I will contact you with your partner on May 1st, and items are to be mailed by May 15th.
PLEASE e-mail me through my sidebar (elee@srt.com). Include your blog address, and mailing address. I will have a cutoff number, so don't miss out! ALSO, let me know if you're willing to ship internationally.
Feel free to grab my swap button for your blog. I would appreciate the advertising.
If you are new to swaps, and want more information, e-mail me with questions.
Blessings, Ele
