Dolls!

As a child, I was fortunate enough to receive Madame Alexander dolls as gifts from my parents. I have taken pictures of a few of my favorites.
The first picture is Sleeping Beauty in the blue along with a pink school girl.

Renior and Snow White

Rebecca of Sunny Brook Farm

Romeo and Juliet

Wendy from Peter Pan

Wednesday's Child and Baseball player

Baby Huggums

Rocco Bride Doll

Scarlett Ohara

Pinocchio, Tinker Bell, Peter Pan and Captain Hook

Not Madame Alexander, but very special to me. My father won me this Bride doll at Bingo at the Fair when I was a little girl. The whole time he kept telling me he was saving his "points" for an electric blanket! Much better then an electric blanket, don't you think?

A girl just has to have a few Barbies too!

I love your doll collection, this is something I didn't know you liked. The bride doll from your Father must be the best treasure.

You have a beautiful doll collection!
My mom has 3 Madame Alexander dolls from the 1950's. Love them.

And your hanky pillow is gorgeous!
I missed out on the Sunday Show and Tells too.

That's quite a collection of beautiful dolls. You know....I don't have one doll from my childhood and never had any Barbies but I do still have my child size sewing machine, and all the doll furniture my father made me. Hope you're having a great weekend Ele.

Oh my goodness, I'm in love with your dolls. My parents were certainly slacking in doll-giving-category. I'm going to take them to task, lol! I am amazed that you kept yours soooo lovely! My dolls were trashed, perhaps my parents knew best!!

I came over here from Ceekay's blog, looked around, and was just about to leave when I scrolled down to the Madam Alexander dolls. What a gorgeous collection. I have one Madam Alexander doll that I got for Christmas when I was 6 years old. That was in 1942. It is a Jeannie Walker doll. I still have it and featured it on my blog a while back. I made porcelain dolls back in the 80s. I have featured many of them on my blog and have a scrapbook at the bottom of my blog if you would like to come see it sometime. I would love to have you visit.
