As a child, I was fortunate enough to receive Madame Alexander dolls as gifts from my parents. I have taken pictures of a few of my favorites.
The first picture is Sleeping Beauty in the blue along with a pink school girl.
Renior and Snow White
Rebecca of Sunny Brook Farm
Romeo and Juliet
Wendy from Peter Pan
Wednesday's Child and Baseball player
Baby Huggums
Rocco Bride Doll
Scarlett Ohara
Pinocchio, Tinker Bell, Peter Pan and Captain Hook
Not Madame Alexander, but very special to me. My father won me this Bride doll at Bingo at the Fair when I was a little girl. The whole time he kept telling me he was saving his "points" for an electric blanket! Much better then an electric blanket, don't you think?
A girl just has to have a few Barbies too!

Hi! Of course it's never too late to show these beautiful girls! Ooh I like them. I have collected Barbies for quite a long time and occasionaly I read something about madame Alexander dolls as well, but see such a bunch it's really awesome! Love what you did with those hankies too! Have a nice weekend!
Ele what beautiful dolls you have. I think my favourite would have to be Baby Huggums.
What a great way to use the vintage hankies

Love the new banner! What wonderful dolls, the bride doll from bingo is my favorite and such a special story to go with her!
I love your doll collection, this is something I didn't know you liked. The bride doll from your Father must be the best treasure.
That doll your dad won is fab. What a great thing to remind you of that time. :)

My mom has 3 Madame Alexander dolls from the 1950's. Love them.
And your hanky pillow is gorgeous!
I missed out on the Sunday Show and Tells too.

The doll your dad won is very similar to one I had when I was a child. I have many dolls & just love to see yours. They are BEAUTIFUL!

That's quite a collection of beautiful dolls. You know....I don't have one doll from my childhood and never had any Barbies but I do still have my child size sewing machine, and all the doll furniture my father made me. Hope you're having a great weekend Ele.
I just adore vintage hankies, it just seems so femanine about them. The pillow was so very pretty. Love the dolls, but you know me and dolls.
What A beautiful collection of dolls!! They all look like they enjoyed their photo session :)

What a fabulous collection. I believe my favorite is 'Rebecca of Sunny Brook Farm'.
and...how wonderful it must be to still have a beautiful doll that your father won for you. It so endearing.
Oh my goodness, I'm in love with your dolls. My parents were certainly slacking in doll-giving-category. I'm going to take them to task, lol! I am amazed that you kept yours soooo lovely! My dolls were trashed, perhaps my parents knew best!!
Oh Ele, I cannot belive I missed the doll post......we have been busy in the yard. I am IN LoVE with the dolls. I'm coming over to play dolls right away :) We will have tea and I'll bring McFelius. Hope you're doing great. xo
I came over here from Ceekay's blog, looked around, and was just about to leave when I scrolled down to the Madam Alexander dolls. What a gorgeous collection. I have one Madam Alexander doll that I got for Christmas when I was 6 years old. That was in 1942. It is a Jeannie Walker doll. I still have it and featured it on my blog a while back. I made porcelain dolls back in the 80s. I have featured many of them on my blog and have a scrapbook at the bottom of my blog if you would like to come see it sometime. I would love to have you visit.
Gotta love those dollies! My favs are the bride dolls, both the ROCCO & the one from your dear daddy. How special ~ thanks so much for sharing!
