Beautiful Bebe Doll

Vintage baby image,  a snippet from a vintage baby card, pink flocked wallpaper (my absolute fav.), and a gold German scrap crown make up this collage. It's really very simple and not fanciful, but babies are always sweet.

I do have to say that I like the ink on the ledger paper, and the wrinkles. It has a dishoveled look against the pristine white and baby pink wallpaper.

I made this a couple of years ago, and had put it in a drawer in my office. Cleaning always brings out treasures.

I made 25 of these sweet babies for a collaborative book effort. Mailed them, and unfortunately forgot to put tracking on them. They were never seen again. At least I still have one!

Check out the cute baby scrubs on http://www.hannahbananababy.com

Have a beautiful week.

Organizational Heaven

I LOOOOOVE organizing.

I am an organizational diva wanna be. My kitchen has one drawer for metal utensils, one for plastic utensils, and one for outside barbecue utensils. Oh the joy I brought my boys (when they were much younger) as they would "plant" a plastic item in the metal drawer and wait to see how long it took me to find it!

The shirts in my closet are organized by short sleeved, long sleeved, and color, and face lotion had better not plan a visit to the eyeshadow/mascara drawer, or we will need to have a little talk. I've been known to lurk in the container/basket aisle at the store. Organizational heaven is where I want to be.

Can you imagine my joy when Jessica sent me this:

While searching flickr. I found the following lovelies:
Vintage Flair made the gorgeous organizer below. Beautiful vintage wallpaper and papers were used to make this wall hanging.

Pink Paisley incorporated vintage doilies and embroidery into this hanging organizer.

Sunny Days Here is the creator of this super cute organizer with slots specifically for markers.
I just had to share with you this organizer by Whimsy Love. The bright colors are perfect for your child's room.
There are areas in my home that are not always organized, but I will keep working on it. With items available like these, who wouldn't want to be organized!
Let me know what you think about the larger print I've been using. Do you like it, yes or no?
Blessings,
Ele

Paper Love

"She likes me, she really likes me".
It's nice to be liked. If you visit Crafty Homemaker, there are links to other great blogs and a blog giveaway. You can also vote for me, if you like me.

Paper-
Just can't get enough for my creations .....I know, I know, the trees are begging me to stop the love affair. Someone will get hurt. Honestly though, I'm doing my part. The paper that I love the most is "green", ephemera. You know, the vintage papers that I'm finding other uses for instead of throwing them away, (I'm shuddering as I realized I ACTUALLY wrote the word THROW.......It's my grandmothers fault, really. She NEVER EVER EVER EVER THREW things away, and to me this means, vintage paper). I swear my grandmothers closet had a secret door/secret room for all the items she put into her closet. She was forever pulling out "things" that she had saved when we needed supplies for art projects, Valentine boxes, etc. That is a whole different story, so let me get back to my "green" paper supplies.

Point in case:
Vintage Ledger Paper-

I love the look. The hand written numbers are from another time, but the
use of these papers, timeless. I have stamped "timeless" on the vintage ledger paper used on this journal. The ledger paper is also mixed with vintage wallpaper, another love.

Vintage Wallpaper-

It comes in any shade and pattern imaginable. I have used vintage wallpaper on the note cards in the box above, on the photo album and keepsake box below. Vintage flocked wallpaper is used on the box above. Go here to see more pics of vintage flocked wallpaper!

Present wrapping has begun at Pink Heaven. I decided to go with simple elegance; plain brown paper stamped with a black fleur design. The best part of this project is that any age can create wrapping paper. Santa's helper and I tied on vintage flocked wallpaper tags and sage green bows.Hope everyone is having a great week!

Flocked Wallpaper

My hearts a flutter.

Why you ask.

Take a look.........vintage flocked wallpaper. Need I say more? These gorgeous velvety beauties were purchased from Donna Layton at Under the Red Roof.

Beautiful blue, glamorous black, and creamy yellow are my momentary favorites.

I have also found some reproduction flocked papers.

What do I create with these gorgeous papers?
A sea of journals and photo albums for an upcoming show,

soft pink keepsake boxes embellished with German scrap and vintage jewels,

a pink and taupe keepsake box,

picture frames,

and a pink and blue journal.

Vintage Wallpaper Boxes

A combination of my favorite supplies; crepe paper, vintage wallpaper, and German scrap were used to embellish these pencil boxes. Who knew items that I used in elementary school, like glue, paper and a scissors, would continue to be my favorite tools.

I really like to mix blues, pinks, taupes, and chocolate colors together they remind me of the ocean, sand, and a little girl's sweet pink dress. The combination of colors give me the romantic cottage look, with a little French inspiration. What are in the boxes you ask?
Notecards made of lucious flocked wallpaper.

I had so many wonderful comments on my friend Karen's safety pin basket, that I wanted to show you another picture. If you look closely you might be able to tell that she used two different color blue beeads in the basket. In person, this basket is stunning.
