December Heavenly Bits

It's Heavenly Bits time at a Bit of Heaven!

My artists this month recived a WONDERFUL AMAZING packet of ephemera from   http://www.etsy.com/shop/sigridstudios.
Seriously, sigrid Studios=AMAZING. Mixed media arts are rejoicing at this very moment because of Sigrid Studios. Thank you Tanja. You were very generous with donating these packages to each of my artists!

Now, please visit these artists to view their creations!

Craft Show

A few pictures from my recent craft show. It has been a couple of snowy, icy days, but that didn't stop the crowds of people. Lots of brave Canadians came down for this big show, and I thank you!

I'm especially excited about the lady who told me one of my tote bags was getting on the plane with her that evening, and they were heading for Vegas. I hope it was a successful $ trip! As usual my booth was filled with vintage paper goodies; collages, cards, gift bags, journals, recipe books, ornaments, and wedding decor. I also had a few bracelets that sold out immediately. Thank you to all the lovely ladies, and the men, who patiently let their women shop!

I will have items at the Darling Stewardess on Black Friday, and will be at another show the first weekend in Dec. Be sure to friend a Bit of Heaven on facebook, for updates.

Blessings,
Ele

Music Paper Wreath

I seriously love music paper; notes dancing, neutral colors and gold undertones of vintage paper, the rich history of the music, and in some cases the words of the songs. All are visually pleasing.

I shared a music paper Christmas wreath with you here: http://abitofpinkheaven.blogspot.com/2011/12/happy-new-year.html

Here is another wreath, made in the same technique as the Christmas wreath, but this one can be used year round. It has a paper medallion center that is embellished with bits from a vintage bingo card, and old ledger paper. Vintage ephemera     .......................Love, Love, Love!

We have had a lovely fall and start of winter, but the cold weather has hit, (Tweleve below this morning!). It is definately a crafting day, and my fashionable attire includes jammie pants, ugg slippers, a sweater, and a fuzzy blanket. I am not walking over to my church studio as I am a big baby and don't want to go outside! Thankfully, I have an emergency tote with supplies in my home.

Our dog is doing much better and it looks like she will  not have to have surgery, yeah!

Blessings,
Ele

Paper Love

"She likes me, she really likes me".
It's nice to be liked. If you visit Crafty Homemaker, there are links to other great blogs and a blog giveaway. You can also vote for me, if you like me.

Paper-
Just can't get enough for my creations .....I know, I know, the trees are begging me to stop the love affair. Someone will get hurt. Honestly though, I'm doing my part. The paper that I love the most is "green", ephemera. You know, the vintage papers that I'm finding other uses for instead of throwing them away, (I'm shuddering as I realized I ACTUALLY wrote the word THROW.......It's my grandmothers fault, really. She NEVER EVER EVER EVER THREW things away, and to me this means, vintage paper). I swear my grandmothers closet had a secret door/secret room for all the items she put into her closet. She was forever pulling out "things" that she had saved when we needed supplies for art projects, Valentine boxes, etc. That is a whole different story, so let me get back to my "green" paper supplies.

Point in case:
Vintage Ledger Paper-

I love the look. The hand written numbers are from another time, but the
use of these papers, timeless. I have stamped "timeless" on the vintage ledger paper used on this journal. The ledger paper is also mixed with vintage wallpaper, another love.

Vintage Wallpaper-

It comes in any shade and pattern imaginable. I have used vintage wallpaper on the note cards in the box above, on the photo album and keepsake box below. Vintage flocked wallpaper is used on the box above. Go here to see more pics of vintage flocked wallpaper!

Present wrapping has begun at Pink Heaven. I decided to go with simple elegance; plain brown paper stamped with a black fleur design. The best part of this project is that any age can create wrapping paper. Santa's helper and I tied on vintage flocked wallpaper tags and sage green bows.Hope everyone is having a great week!
